Euro-Discount Special

The Euro's value is constantly falling, giving European competitors an unfair economic edge. To level the playing field, ALSC is offering interested clients to "freeze" it's translation rates for the foreseeable future to an exchange rate of 1 US$ = 1 Euro.

What does this mean?

ALSC will, on request, multiply it's applicable US$ rate with the then current nominal value of the Euro in US$ as determined by the Personal Currency Assistant. On 10-22-00, this factor was 0.84. A rate of let's say $0.15/source word would thus effectively be lowered to US$0.13/word. As usual, applicable rates depend on subject, format, word count, turnaround time etc. This offer is good for orders of 5,000 source words or more.
