Breanna and the Purple Platypus

The purple platypus in the lower left is a Beanie "Guardian Angel" and was a gift from a thoughtful and caring donor in Portland, Oregon via the Beanies For Preemies organization.  Beanies for Preemies was founded by Mary Stocum following the premature birth of her nephew.  Ms. Stocum began a search for a specific beanie as a gift for the seven-week early preemie baby.  While searching the Internet, she did not find the beanie she was searching for, but was greeted with an outpouring of prayers, well wishes, and donations of numerous other beanies from caring and compassionate beanie collectors.  Ms. Stocum chose to establish Beanies for Preemies, Inc. in the hopes of sharing the love, caring, and compassion total strangers showed her nephew.
