Are you looking for Quality?

The machine translations just did not cut it?

You have come to the right place. ALSC has been in business since 1994. There has never been a complaint about the quality of the translations.

Are you looking for an Expert?

Your original is full of scientific, technical or medical jargon and/or has been put together in a hurry, and while it is comprehensible for the specialist, it is incomprehensible or at least difficult to understand for a layman. Thus, you are looking for an expert, who can make sense out of it all. You have come to the right place. ALSC can bring more than 15 years of scientific, technical and medical experience/exposure to bear on your project (see also Expertise and Tools of the Trade) and is committed to continuous education. ALSC will not take on a job that is over its head.

Do you have Tight Deadlines?

You have come to the right place. Once a certain turnaround time has been agreed upon, ALSC will make every effort to meet or beat that deadline! Monday means Monday and not the service industry's space-time continuum. If necessary, ALSC will pay for express delivery.

Are you looking for the Best Possible Price?

"All anybody seems to care about now is numbers.
The fact is you can't make numbers without creativity."

Clive Davis, cited in Los Angeles Times, July 10, 2001.

While Quality, Expertise and Rush do have their price, you nevertheless have come to the right place because you have come to the source and thus do not have to pay any middleman. Right now, ALSC also offers a special dynamic Pricing in Euro.

Does ALSC provide Free Sample Translations?

Are you looking for translations into Multiple Languages?

As a single language provider, ALSC cannot help you directly, but will be happy to refer you to an agency that can. Just ask. Alternatively, if you already work with a particular agency, you might want to pass on this URL to that agency.

Are you wondering whether ALSC is using Machine Translation?

ALSC does not use machine translation. Except for very simple applications, machine translations (MT) cannot yet match the quality provided by an expert human translator - not by a long shot - and this is likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future. Convince yourself by comparing an ALSC translation on bone tumors with the corresponding machine translation available through Alta Vista/Babelfish. However, where appropriate, ALSC does rely on translation memory (TM), mainly for consistency.

Does ALSC use Microsoft Outlook for e-mail?

Absolutely not! Outlook is so prone to virus attacks that ALSC has banned it from its computers.

Does ALSC enter into Joint Development Agreements?

Yes. To read more about this topic, click here.
